English language hours offer a space to learn new English vocabulary, take part in interesting discussions, and watch short films. Each hour is designed to develop language skills, confidence and creativity while watching and exploring short films. Workshops are run by Alice Shepherd Erlac, an ex-Londoner, trained teacher, and explorer of creative work. These hours are perfect for those looking to take IELTS, in university or school, wanting to expand their language skills for work, and those on the hunt for something challenging and fun! Each hour deals with contemporary, meaningful themes such as empathy, compassion, diversity, justice, equity and inclusion. This practice encourages creative, spontaneous responses in English and to builds confidence. Who’s it for? English speakers at level B2-C2 Suitable for 14+ (themes and content are aimed at participants aged 14-100) This course is supported by Zavod MARS. Creative writing hours in Maribor

Tea Breaks Creative Writing Hours Creative writing means responding to a variety of prompts by writing your own stories, poems, speech, or drawing in response to given arty stimuli. The purpose of this time is to draw out your inner creative and make you feel good! Workshops are run by Alice Shepherd Erlac, an ex-Londoner, co-organiser of writing events in London, graduate in Literature and Creative Writing from London Met, and long-time writer. During the hour, you receive prompts (poetry, literature, nonfiction, art, video, music) to respond to. All prompts and texts are written and delivered in English. Each session works around a set theme. You can respond in whatever language or way you like. You are often asked to write but might also be prompted to do some low-pressure drawing. Who’s it for? Tea Breaks are an open, safe and inclusive space for everyone to join. An English level is B2-C2 would be ideal to access the content. Erasmus Tea Breaks Creative Writing Hours • We read poems and prose to kick off creativity. • I guide your group through different writing activities in English. • Every session works around a new theme. Alice Shepherd Erlac is your facilitator, a Brit, qualified educator, graduate of Literature and Creative Writing, and co-organiser of east London creative writing events. Who’s it for? Tea Breaks are open to all students at Maribor University and are a safe and inclusive space. You don’t need to have a background in creative writing or be studying anything related to it. All humans with a wish to be creative in English are welcome! Where and when’s it happening?
